Gail Zack Anderson, Founder
Experience. After experience with a national training firm, Gail founded Applause Inc. in 1992 to focus on custom solutions for local clients. She has worked with a wide variety of industries and individuals and strives to make each learning solution unique and meaningful.
Education. Gail has an M.A. in Human Resource and Change Leadership from the University of St. Thomas and a B.S. in Business from the University of Minnesota. Gail has served six years on the Board of Directors of ATD -GTC, and is a Past President.
Constructive feedback. Since people are often their own worst critics, Gail’s goal is to help them see and build on their strengths and to help them build skills that will enhance their effectiveness. She believes that honest, constructive feedback can build confidence as well as skills.
Video feedback. New and less-confident speakers can begin to see their strengths with video feedback and to begin to believe in their abilities. Those who are over-confident or have a blind spot are able to see themselves as other do. Video makes it easier to accept feedback.
Flexibility. Applause offers training solutions for individuals, small groups, and breakout sessions or larger groups. Each program is customized to ensure the ideal blend of classroom, one-on-one and follow-up sessions. We work to ensure the program is “real” and realistic, so the skills can be applied immediately back on the job.
Blended Learning. Applause uses technology to enhance and condense learning, by using electronic surveys, pre-work, and evaluation. We also offer programs that have an electronic format, so that class time is shortened but learning is maximized.
Follow-up. Written feedback, practice videos for review and regular tips and reminders are just a few of the ways Applause ensures that what is learned is remembered and applied.
